Le Commandant Charcot Cruises

Le Commandant-Charcot, the very first hybrid-electric polar exploration ship that is powered by liquefied natural gas. The latest addition to the Ponant fleet, the Le Commandant Charcot has now made it possible to operate polar expedition cruises of a kind never before undertaken. The ships are designed to venture into Polar regions and remote ports that allow passage to small ships, with a shallow 4.6m draught. The ship’s cuisine will be emphatically French, offering menus in partnership with Ducasse Conseil, a company from famed chef Alain Ducasse.
