• Are gratuities included?

  If you are leaving from an Australian port, gratuities (crew appreciation) are included however internationally gratuities are charged daily at a cost of US$19 for Suites, US$18 for Mini Suites, Cabanas and Club Class and US$17 for all other stateroom types, per person per day.  Your crew appreciation can be prepaid using manage booking.

• Can I bring alcohol?

  Guests are able to bring 1 (750ml) bottle of wine on per person, this must be stored in your carry on. If this is consumed in the restaurant there will be a $15 corkage fee, if you choose to consume this in your state room there is no fee.

• WHAT PRINCESS CRUISE SHIPS DEPART AUSTRALIAN HOME PORTS?

  During the Australian summer season, Princess Cruises brings 5 ships to Australian ports.

• DO PRINCESS CRUISE SHIPS HAVE AN ADULTS-ONLY SECTION?

  While Princess Cruises welcomes families onboard, Princess Cruises has a sun deck exclusively for adults called The Sanctuary. Children under the age of 18 are not permitted in this area. Normally located above the Lotus Spa, and away from the main pools, it's tucked away on one of the top decks (depending on the ship). Princess Cruises also debuted the Sanctuary Collection in 2025 and is currently only on 2 ships (Sun Princess and the Star Princess).

  Princess Cruises also has a Club called 1820 - (ages 18 - 20 years old). Imagine a secret society, only those invited can join. Guests ages 18-20 will learn the secret handshake and be granted a special code word to unlock an exclusive list of Club1820 events made just for them. No parents, no little siblings, no official hosts.

• WHAT PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES DO PRINCESS CRUISES HAVE FOR CHILDREN?

  Called Camp Discovery, Princess Cruises host engaging activities specially designed to help explorers of all ages. 

  • Princess welcomes babies, toddlers and preschoolers (6 months to 2 years old) to the world of cruising with services and amenities that make life easier for their families. These young guests are welcome in Camp Discovery when accompanied by a parent. 

  • The Treehouse (ages 3 - 7 years old) - This vibrant, fun, forest-themed children's centre offers interactive programmes and activities surrounded by fascinating animals.

  • The Lodge (ages 8 - 12 years old) - Inspired by nature, this quaint centre offers a plethora of sporting opportunities as well as cosy spots for youngsters to explore, relax, and have fun.

  • The Beach House (ages 13 - 17 years old) - This contemporary beach-themed lounge is "the" place for teens to hang out, socialise and connect.

  Note: In destinations such as Alaska extra destination-specific activities are available for kids. Kids and Youth centre facilities vary across Princess cruise ships. Contact your Clean Cruising consultant for more information. 

• ARE THERE THEME NIGHTS EXPECTED ON BOARD PRINCESS CRUISES?

  Theme evenings are typically offered to guests on cruises lasting seven nights or longer. You are invited to bring your own clothing, or you can buy them on board. While theme evenings on different cruises may differ, you can generally anticipate the following:

  • Open Deck Party  On all warm-weather sailings, wear your best tropical attire to our open deck party deck party.

  • Country & Western Night: Come prepared with your boots and hats and be ready to dance at this well-liked event.

  • 50’s and 60’s Rock n Roll nights and 70’s nights.

  You can see what theme nights might be on offer 40 days before embarkation through the Princess App so you can pack accordingly.

• DO PRINCESS CRUISES HAVE DRINK PACKAGES?

  Princess Cruises have 2 non-alcoholic and 2 alcoholic packages that you can pre-purchase or buy onboard.

  • Zero-Alcohol Package - premium and specialty coffees and teas along with sodas, fresh juices and healthy smoothies (juice bar), hot chocolate, "zero-proof" mocktails, bottled water, San Pellegrino, Evian and Red Bull Energy Drinks throughout your entire cruise

  • Classic Soda Package - This package includes all sodas, fruit juices, mocktails and smoothies, is $14.99 USD* per person, per day.

  When you purchase your cruise you have the option of upgrading to a Plus or Premier package with your fare which can be economical as they have inclusions other than just beverages!

  • Plus Beverage Package - Cocktails, spirits, wine by the glass, beer, speciality coffees fountain sodas, bottled water, fresh juices and healthy smoothies (juice bar), new juice bar, mocktails and crafted cocktails by Mixologist Rob Floyd.

  • Premier Beverage Package - Has all of the plus beverage package and top-shelf spirits, reserve wines by the glass, new high-end crafted cocktails by Mixologist Rob Floyd and  Private Woodford Reserve Bourbon Selection created exclusively for Princess.

• WHAT TYPE OF POWER POINTS ARE ONBOARD PRINCESS CRUISE SHIPS?

  Each stateroom is equipped with a 110-volt, 60-cycle alternating current (AC) with standard US (3 prong) plug fittings (220-volt Australian socket is also available for Royal Princess, Regal Princess, Enchanted Princess, and Majestic Princess). Clean Cruising recommends to bring a universal power adapter for your devices.

• DOES PRINCESS CRUISES HAVE A CHRISTMAS CRUISE?

  Princess Cruises has 3 Christmas cruises for 2024 and 3 for 2025:    

  2024 Princess Christmas Cruises

  • The 2024 Christmas cruise from Sydney is called the Southern Australia Explorer Cruise - 3430 onboard the Crown Princess for 12 nights.

  • The 2024 Christmas cruise from Sydney is called the New Zealand Cruise - 1501 onboard the Royal Princess for 14 nights.

  • The 2024 Christmas cruise from Brisbane is called the New Zealand Cruise - M501 onboard the Diamond Princess for 14 nights.

  2025 Princess Christmas Cruises

  • The 2025 Christmas cruise from Sydney is called the New Zealand Holiday Cruise - X601 onboard the Discovery Princess for 14 nights. 

  • The 2025 Christmas cruise from Sydney is called the Fiji Cruise - 3520A onboard the Crown Princess for 14 nights. Note this cruise returns to Brisbane. 

  • The 2025 Christmas cruise from Brisbane is called the Fiji & South Pacific Cruise - 3601N onboard the Crown Princess for 11 nights.

• WHAT DISABILITY OPTIONS DO PRINCESS CRUISES PROVIDE?

  Princess Cruises works hard to provide customers with disabilities with the accommodations they need. When making your reservation, tell your Clean Cruising Consultant if you require a wheelchair or if you have any other special needs. Every Princess Cruises ship has accommodations that are wheelchair accessible. You have to bring your own mobility device if you need one. Because stateroom door widths vary, we strongly advise carrying collapsible wheelchairs if you are bringing your own. There are sections of several Princess Cruises ships that are not wheelchair accessible. There aren't many possibilities for transportation with lifts, so plans need to be made in advance. If you require any special accommodations, kindly let your Clean Cruising Consultant know.

• I HAVE A MEDICAL CONDITION, CAN I STILL TRAVEL ON A PRINCESS CRUISE?

  Absolutely! We recommend telling your Clean Cruising consultant about any medical conditions, medications or special requirements you have when you complete your booking. Clean Cruising also recommends that you bring a couple of extra days of medication and confirm with your GP if a Princess cruise is suitable for your health needs and requirements.

• DO YOU NEED A PASSPORT TO BOOK A PRINCESS CRUISE?

  Australian citizens, including minors, are required to present a passport or a government-issued picture ID when going on a domestic cruise.

  All passengers on international cruises (to places like the South Pacific, New Zealand, Hawaii, and Singapore) need to have passports that expire six months after the date of the cruise return.

• HOW DO YOU PAY ONBOARD PRINCESS CRUISES?

  The ability to bill all of your onboard spending to your cabin is one of the best things about taking a Princess cruise. Your OceanMedallion will be given to you prior to boarding. When checking in, guests will either pick it up in the terminal or receive it in the mail. The Medallion is connected to your individual shipboard account, which is charged for all purchases, and enables you to make TrulyTouchless purchases while on board.

  All onboard costs are in Australian dollars (AUD) when travelling from Australian ports. All other onboard adjustments are in United States dollars (USD). A 1.1% surcharge fee will be charged if you use a credit card to pay for your onboard expenses when sailing in Australian dollars (regardless of cardholder country). There is no additional fee for debit cards.

• DOES CLEAN CRUISING PROVIDE TRAVEL INSURANCE FOR PRINCESS CRUISES?

  Yes, speak with your Clean Cruising consultant when booking your Princess cruise as they can provide you with a comprehensive travel insurance policy that perfectly matches your cruise.

• HOW DO I BOOK MY SPECIAL OCCASION ON PRINCESS CRUISES?

  Special occasions such as weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and honeymoons can be celebrated on board. Please speak with your Clean Cruising consultant if you're celebrating a special occasion while onboard or planning your cruise to celebrate.

• HOW MUCH LUGGAGE CAN I BRING ON A PRINCESS CRUISE, WHAT ARE THE RESTRICTIONS?

  Princess Cruises recommends 2 x 32 KG bags per person at a maximum.

• WI-FI AND MOBILE COVERAGE ON PRINCESS CRUISES?

  Thanks to state-of-the-art technology, you can now stay connected with Wi-Fi coverage as you sail. MedallionNet Wi-Fi sets the industry standard for internet at sea, and it's now even better with Starlink access and 5G. Access the internet everywhere on board so you can text, post photos, video chat and stream your favourite shows, movies, music and sports with ease.

  Mobile phone reception is available on board all of Princess ships. A compatible mobile phone and a service plan capable of roaming internationally with Maritime Communications Partners (AS) is required. Make sure you check with your service provider for applicable charges before you depart.

• DOES PRINCESS CRUISES HAVE AN ONBOARD APP?

  The app is called The Princess Cruises App and it is free to download on the App Store or Google Play.
