Norwegian Spirit was launched in 1998 and received the most extensive bow-to-stern modernisation in Norwegian Cruise Line’s history in February 2020, making her look and feel like one of the newest ships navigating the high seas! The refurbishment saw every stateroom modernised, every bar and lounge redesigned, all dining overhauled and a new fine Italian restaurant “Onda” by Scarpetta added. Carrying just over 2000 passengers, the ship rarely feels crowded but rather gives a warm and relaxed atmosphere, best suited to adults, although children are certainly welcome onboard.Norwegian Spirit is a welcoming ship that goes to show that good things can come in small packages. One of 17 ships within the fleet and best known for her contemporary style on board and no fixed dining times or seating, giving you the freedom and flexibility to follow your own schedule and whims. You’ll be spoilt for choice from a stellar entertainment line up on board, offering evenings of entertainment, to relaxing and slowing down at the Mandara Spa, where you can choose from a selection of therapies. There is something for everyone to find their bliss on board, and to get into the holiday spirit.

Cabins

Two thirds of cabins have an outside view, and three decks have private balconies. Standard inside and outside-view cabins have two beds that can convert to a queen-size bed, and accommodate up to four guests. These cabins are smallish, colourful, with separate shower and toilet, good bedding, and small settee. Storage and bathroom amenities are adequate. Oceanview cabins can accommodate up to four, and have a porthole or a large rectangular viewing window. Outside-view cabins, for two or three have a narrow balcony and small vanity table. Each cabin has TV, safe, and controlled AC.

Most outside cabins have balconies accessed through full-wall sliding doors, meaning you have a great view, even when the doors are closed. The largest staterooms are the six Owner's Suites, with living room and dining area, curved balcony with reclining chairs, bathroom with twin basins, whirlpool tub and separate shower: indeed they come with many extras. Penthouse Suites are slightly smaller, with dining table in the living room area, walk-in closet, CD/DVD player, refrigerator and bath/whirlpool tub. These suites interconnect to an oceanview cabin for family use. Butler service and concierge are available to suites. A small room service menu is available at extra cost.)
