Cruises from Savigsivik
Savigsivik is an Inuit settlement on an island off the far NW of Greenland, in Melville Bay, an extension of the larger Baffin Bay. It lies well within the Arctic Circle at 76 deg. North. The Geomagnetic North Pole is 315 km to the North. About 50 huts house the 66 or so inhabitants, and access is by plane or helicopter from Thule, 110 km to the WNW. Local transport includes dog sleds and light aircraft.
