Cruises from Muroran
Muroran is located to the SW of Hokkaido island on a small peninsula jutting into the sea at the entrance of the Uchiura Bay. To the east is the North Pacific Ocean. Muroran was the centre of a steel industry that attracted naval bombardment on the night of 14/15 July 1945. Today, there are large cement factories, steel mills, oil refineries, and shipyards clustered around the port. Muroran holds eight specific scenic sights called Muroran-Hakkei.
