Kos is the main port and population centre on a Greek island of the same name. It lies just 4 km from the coast of Bodrum, Turkey. The port is also the tourist and cultural centre, with the traditional whitewashed buildings, including interesting museums to be visited as well as many restaurants and hotels. The most commanding spot, though, is the strong Castle at the entrance to the port. Take a drive and visit the many villages on the island.
