Walrus Island is a small uninhabited island just one kilometre long, situated on the northern limits of Hudson Bay, in the Canadian territory of Nunavut. The Inuktitut name for Cape Dorset (population 1440), Kinngait, refers to the picturesque hills that surround the community. Located on SW Baffin Island, just north of Hudson Bay, Canada, it has been inhabited for over 1,000 years. Akpatok Island is one of the uninhabited Canadian Arctic Islands in Ugava Bay on the northern coast of Quebec. The island is named for the Akpat, the thick-billed Murre, which live on ledges along the limestone cliffs - some more than 250m in height - surrounding the island. The Lower Savage Islands are an uninhabited offshore island group of Baffin Island, located in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago in the territory of Nunavut. The islands lie in Gabriel Strait, an arm of Hudson Strait, NW of Resolution Island, and west of Edgell Island. Sub-Arctic Monumental Island is situated off the coast of Baffin Island, located in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago in the territory of Nunavut. The island lies in Davis Strait, almost halfway between Lady Franklin Island and Little Hall Island. This rocky, remote island is completely uninhabited, but is a favourite haul-out for walruses, where polar bears are often seen patrolling for their next meal. Sisimiut is a town in central-western Greenland, located on the coast of Davis Strait, approximately 320 km north of Nuuk, and about 42km inside the Artic Circle (April 2017). It is the administrative center of the region and the second-largest town in Greenland. Evighedsforden (‘Everlasting Fjord’; also Kangerlussuatsiaq Fjord) in SW Greenland lies just below the Arctic Circle along its 90 km length. Nuuk is the capital and largest city of Greenland, as well as being the northernmost capital in the world, though 2 degrees south of the Arctic Circle.
