Kangerlussuaq (Danish: Søndre Strømfjord) is a settlement in western Greenland in the Qeqqata municipality, located at the head of a fjord of the same name, and just inside the Arctic Circle. The town lies between glacial-fed Qinnguata Kuussua river to the SE, fjord to the SW, and hills rising sharply to 400m to the north. Saqqaq is a village on the Nuussuaq Peninsula in the Quaasuitsup municipality of western Greenland, 380km north of the Arctic Circle (April 2017). Bellot Strait above the Arctic Circle is a 30 km passage, round 1 km wide, in the Canadian territory of Nunavut, separating Somerset Island on the north from the Boothia Peninsula on the south. Feachem Bay is a small bay 1.4 km wide and 3 km deep, in the Canadian province of Nunavut, that branches off the north side of Buchan Gulf. The Gulf is an elongated Arctic fjord on Baffin Island, 147 km north of the Arctic Circle, that faces the great Baffin Bay.
