The legends and goddesses of ancient times will guide this voyage to the region’s most exciting destinations, from the marvels of Ephesus and the Parthenon in Athens to the many intriguing attractions of Istanbul, where you’ll enjoy an overnight stay.
Your adventure begins in Rome, where you will enjoy 2 nights pre-cruise to explore this historical city and its sites. From the Colosseum to the Vatican, laneways with bars, museums, churches and every other rich cultural experience to enjoy, Rome really has something for everyone. Following your 2 nights in Rome, you will be driven to Civitavecchia where you will embark Oceania Marina in a Veranda Stateroom for your 11 night Legendary Pathways Voyage.
After sailing from Rome on Saturday evening, you will awaken in Naples the next morning. Optional shore excursions include city sightseeing, Ancient Pompeii, 4x4 adventures, hiking, wine tasting and more. Or you may wish to find your own adventure from the port. The next few days continue down the Italian Coastline, visiting Catania and Valetta, before sailing over to Bodrum and Kusadasi in Turkey for a full day in each city.
Still only halfway through your cruise, you then sail through the Greek Isles, with a full day and late departure in Athens, and full days in Mykonos, Thesalonaki and Kavala. These ports all offer rich shore excursion options, featuring historical highlights, local natural wonders, or you may again wish to find your own delights in port.
The highlight however is on the last 2 days, where you arrive into Istanbul mid-morning, and can use the ship as your floating hotel for 24 hours. Oceania's shore excursions in Istanbul include sightseeing, many food tours, night tours, Exclusive "Best-of", as well as private customisable tours.
After disembarking in Istanbul you will be driven by private vehicle to the airport for your flight home.
