Carnival Sunrise Cruises
In March 2019 Carnival Triumph underwent a US$200M refit and emerged with its new name – Carnival Sunrise, and an as-new appearance. Carnival Sunrise sails out of ports on the East USA seaboard: New York (Manhattan Island), Norfolk with its massive Naval base, and Fort Lauderdale in Florida. Cruises depart Fort Lauderdale for 4- and 5-night tours to Bermuda or to the Caribbean – to Nassau and the company port of Princess Cays in the Bahamas, and Cockburn Town on Turks and Caicos. For the months May to October 2020 Carnival Sunrise sails from Manhattan (just a few blocks from Times Square in New York) to King’s Wharf in Bermuda for 4-night holiday breaks. The new appearance of this ship will impress. As this is a “Fun Ship”, it’s hard to find a quiet place.Carnival Sunrise at 101,509 GT carries 2,758 passengers. Built in 1999, its 2019 refit rebuilt its restaurants and sports facilities. The Triumph Class vessels are quite impressive with tasteful décor. Children have excellent facilities, and be assured that no-one is ever bored. If you want peace, stay in your cabin and use room service.
