Cruises from Weissenkirchen
Weissenkirchen is the next town up the Danube from Durnstein. It is a bigger town and very delightful. Here the cathedral that is part new construction and part medieval ruin dominates the town. Weissenkirchen has a galaxy of old homestead buildings dating from the mid-6th century. The town is set in the Wachau valley, a 40 km stretch of the Danube between Krems and Melk, noted for its beauty, castles, architecture and wines.
