Cruises from Tahaa
Tahaa - aka Taha’a, Oataha - is among the western group, the Leeward Islands of the Society Islands in French Polynesia. The islands of Tahaa and neighbouring Raiatea are enclosed by the same coral reef and may once have been a single island. Situated 220 km WNW of Tahiti, the island is about 12 km in diameter, rising to a height of 590 m, and covered with tropical greenery. The shore is lined with coconut palms and overlooks the fringing reef about 2 km distant.
