Cruises from Souda Bay, Crete
Souda Bay is a natural harbour on the NW coast of the Greek Island of Crete. The bay is overlooked on both sides by hills, and near the mouth of the bay is a set of small islands with Venetian fortifications. Now home to a strategic NATO base, there are no real public beaches, and yet it is now a popular tourist destination. Villages such as Megala, Chorafia, and Kalives, offer fine views of the bay and provide a great opportunity to get an appreciation of the local life.
