Cruises from Sendai
Sendai is the largest city in the Tohoku region of Japan's Honshu island. Following World War II, the city has been rebuilt. Sendai has been subject to several major earthquakes and a tsunami including two this century. The Hirose River flows through the city of one million people. Very well worth a visit is the Aoba Castle site close to the river where, despite the damage by firebombing of Sendai during WW II, sections of the castle survived.
