Romblon Island is one of twenty islands (two other large islands are Sibuyan and Tablas) in the province of the same name, at the geometric centre of the 7107 scattered islands that constitute the Philippine Archipelago. The Romblon port and town lies 260 km SSE of the capital Manilla. Romblon Bay is a natural harbor and safe haven for ships passing in the area during inclement weather. It is also a ferry terminal for local islands and Manilla.
