Cruises from Progreso
Progreso, a small port city in Yucatan on the Gulf of Mexico, is best known for its 6km long pier where cruise ships regularly dock. With no resort developments and a tourist infrastructure that caters mostly to domestic visitors, exploring Progreso is a wonderful experience as it is still somewhat rustic and quaint. Its beaches are world class with palapa restaurants popping up everywhere.
