Cruises from Pleneau Island
Pléneau is a low flat Island 1.2km long lying just NE of Hovgaard Island in the Wilhelm Archipelago in Antarctica. Located west of Booth Island at the southern end of the Lemaire Channel, it features an array of iceberg scenery, and indeed wasn’t identified as an island (and not a peninsula of Hovgaard Island) until 1957, 54 years after its naming. Visitors take extended Zodiac tours and are able, if the weather is suitable, to approach interesting icebergs.
