Cruises from Nakagusuku
Nakagusuku is a village (population 20,000) on the island of Okinawa, one of the southernmost islands of Japan. In recent years, Okinawa has become an increasingly popular destination for tourists from China and Southeast Asia. Its port is an alternative to cruise ports in Okinawa (City) and the capital Naha, and is now attracting cruise ships from mainland China (Shanghai is 800 km to the NW). Nakagusuku is an agricultural farming village, with its staple crop being sugar cane.
