Main-Danube Canal, also called Europa Canal, is in Bavaria, Germany. It is an important link in the waterway that connects the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean to the Black Sea. The canal runs from Bamberg via Nuremberg to Kelheim. Scenery along the waterway varies from imposing historical castles, unusual modern bridges, cities, and colourful farming lowlands, to the Watershed monument 406 m above sea level.
