Cruises from Koper
Koper, on the Adriatic Sea, is Slovenia’s largest commercial port. Interestingly, it is bilingual with Slovene and Italian being the official languages. Steeped in rich history, it is a university town with numerous sights including the 15th-century Praetorian Palace in Venetian Gothic style that now houses the tourist office. Here visitors can watch a video and be given free tours of the palace, which include visiting the city council meeting chamber, and wedding rooms.
