Cruises from Jorge Montt Glacier
Jorge Montt Glacier is a tide water glacier in the Aisén Region of Chile. It lies at the north end of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field. The glacier calves off icebergs into the Baker Channel, a 120 km inlet that empties into the Pacific Ocean. The channel marks the northern border of the Bernardo O'Higgins National Park, and is home to the Katalalixar National Reserve on Merino Jarpa Island. The thinning of the Patagonian icefields has seen the glacier retreat 8.
