Cruises from Ishinomaki
Ishinomaki, population 147,000, is a coastal city facing Matsushima Bay and the Pacific Ocean, on the Japanese island of Honshu. Its coastline forms part of the Sanriku Fukko National Park, created after the Great East Japanese Earthquake of 2011. The epicentre of this costliest natural disaster in history was 140 km due east of Ishinomaki. A 5m tsunami destroyed Ishinomaki port.
