Barrow-in-Furness is an industrial town and port in the north-west of England, known for its shipbuilding and steel-making industries. Being only around 20 minutes from the Lake District, Barrow has been referred to as the 'gateway to the lakes'. Barrow itself has several tourist attractions, including the Dock Museum. The museum tells the history of Barrow's shipbuilding, as well as offering gallery space to local artists and schoolchildren.
