São Tomé (Portuguese: “Saint Thomas”) is a port on the island of the same name, one of two that constitute the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe, a small island nation in the Gulf of Guinea, off the western equatorial coast of Africa. After sundown it is dark with no street lights, so it's a good idea to try and cram as much activity into the day as possible. Read more about São Tomé , Sao Tome and Principe
