Saint-Barthelemy (St Bart’s) is a French island located in the Caribbean among the Leeward Islands. Frederiksted is the main port for ships visiting the island of St Croix, in the Virgin Islands. The locals refer to it as Freedom City, as it was the site at which the emancipation of slaves was proclaimed as early as 1848. Punta Cana, the easternmost tip of the Dominican Republic, abutting the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, is a region known for its 32km stretch of beaches and clear waters.
