Istanbul (Byzantium from 660 BC, Constantinople from 330 CE, and Istanbul since 1930) is the largest city in Turkey and the fifth largest city proper in the world. Dikili is a small coastal town and a district of Izmir Province, Turkey, facing the Aegean Sea. It lies 73 km N of the large and more frequently visited city of Izmir, and faces out to sea the island of Lesbos.
