Launching in 1998, the Grand Princess was one of the largest and most expensive at the time of her debut. This jewel in the Princess Crown has since been dwarfed by her sister ships in the fleet, but she remains a much loved member of the Princess fleet. In 2019, the Grand Princess underwent a major refurbishment, introducing several new and exciting features and venues. Some of the redesigned spaces include the Piazza atrium, upgrades to the casino, boutiques, and art gallery, as well as enhancements to the Horizon Court buffet, Lotus Spa, and wedding chapel. The refurbishment also introduced some Princess classics, such as Alfredo's Pizzeria, the Crown Grill, Crooner's Martini Bar, and 'Movies Under the Stars'. She now also boasts seven new window suites, a vibrant new nightclub, and the line's first specialty tea lounge, Leaves. This stunning ship blends timeless elegance with modern amenities to help create an unforgettable holiday experience for the whole family.
