Otranto is a town on the east coast of the ‘heel’ of Italy, Salento Peninsula in the province of Lecce. It has a small harbour facing the Strait of Otranto that connects the Adriatic Sea with the Ionian Sea, and that separates Italy and Albania (just 75 km apart). Taormina is a small town on the island of Sicily in Italy, in the Province of Messina. Settled on a hill, the town - accessible via an aerial tramway - dominates two sweeping bays, and on the southern side the top of Mount Etna can be seen. Amalfi is a town in the region of Campania, Italy, on the Gulf of Salerno, 40 km SE of Naples. Porto Santo Stefano is a seaport town on the west coast of Tuscani, Italy. It lies 65 km NW of the major cruise port Civitavecchia, two hours from Rome.
