Heimaey is the largest island (13.4 sq.km.) in the Westman Islands or Vestmannaeyjar cluster, 7.4 km off the south coast of Iceland. Eskifjordur is a village and port in eastern Iceland with a population of just over one thousand. Straight across from the village is the mountain Holmatindur, almost a thousand metres in height, which is considered by the locals to be one of the most naturally beautiful in the area. Portland Harbour, dating back for thousands of years, is located beside the Isle of Portland off Dorset on the south coast of England. It is home to one of the largest man-made harbours in the world.
