Ocean Cay is a man-made island of 95 acres, lying mid-way between Miami and the largest of the Bahamas. The island was the base of aragonite sand mining; recently promoted as a terminal for LNG tankers and gas pipeline to Florida; and now under a 100-year lease to MSC Cruises to develop ‘Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve’. With deep port facilities and new shipping terminal, the island will feature in MSC’s presence in the Caribbean from November 2018, with itineraries sailing out of Havana and Miami.
