King’s Wharf, located in Bermuda, consists of eight islands linked by causeways and bridges that are part of a self-governing British Territory, consisting of 150 islands in the western Atlantic Ocean. It is ideal for large cruise ships and is best known for its Georgian-style fort built by the British Navy using convicts, and which later served as a North Atlantic base during both World Wars. Situated on the south coast of Cornwall in England, Falmouth’s harbour - together with Carrick Road - forms the third deepest natural harbour in the world. Not surprisingly it is famous for being the start or finish point of various round-the-world record-breaking voyages, such as those of Sir Francis Chichester and Dame Ellen MacArthur. It is also renowned for being home to Pendennis Castle, built by Henry VIII, which is one of the finest of the mighty fortresses once used to defend England against invasion. Portland Harbour, dating back for thousands of years, is located beside the Isle of Portland off Dorset on the south coast of England. It is home to one of the largest man-made harbours in the world. Le Havre is a city in the NW of France, situated on the right bank of the mouth of the Seine River and 170 km from Paris. Dover, the world’s busiest ferry port, is located in the county of Kent, England, at the extreme SE corner of Britain. Possibly best known for its lyrically famous ‘White Cliffs’, archaeological finds have revealed that the area has always been a focus for peoples entering and leaving Britain, and this continues to this day. Agadir is a city in southern Morocco, surrounded by the Sahara Desert, natural parks and beaches.
